Because we all need some time away, to emerge ourselves in pure nature.

We will have daily morning yoga sessions, on a large, covered yoga deck, a short walk from the cabins and the main lodge, on the gentle banks of a crystal river.  Our Ashtanga yoga and meditation practices will be in a serene location, allowing us to focus on our practices, without the nuance of modern distractions. 

La Carolina Lodge is the perfect place for reconnecting with nature. Our setting is in the mountains of Costa Rica, next to a fresh water river, immersed in a lush tropical forest. 

Experience daily yoga and mindfulness sessions that will raise your spirits and relax your body. 

Eat delicious farm to table meals by candle light.  Sit next to roaring fireplaces and soak in natural hot tubs.

Cabins at La Carolina Lodge are designed to create a unique off the grid experience while retaining a distinctly civilised style and tasteful comfort.  Nestled on the eastern slopes of the Volcano Tenorio, accommodations are surrounded by magical scenic views next to a roaring volcanic river. 

You can enjoy a refreshing swim in a crystal clear river waters, relax in their one-of-a-kind wood-fired hot tub, sun on the deck, walk through lush tropical forests, bird watch while sitting in comfort on the veranda, horse ride through meadows, milk cows, or just read a book beside the fire place.

Three delicious meals served daily are typical Costa Rican dishes, cooked on a wood burning stove and barbecue grill. To add to your genuine Costa Rican experience, all meals are family style, served around large tables at the main lodge.

Coffee, tea or fresh homemade juice is always available.  Most of the food is either grown or raised at La Carolina Lodge, or from farms in the area.
